Leading a team of user experience professionals is incredibly rewarding. I want to foster their passion for solving user needs while respecting the needs of the business. Balancing competing priorities, demanding timelines, and blue sky ideas keeps me going every day.
I want my team to love digging into how users think and understanding how they expect things to work. Every research opportunity uncovers something new and interesting, keeping everyone on their toes and striving to learn more. I see my team as a liaison between users, our product owners, and our development team. It is our responsibility to translate the users' needs into viable solutions that the teams can build.
Building a viable UX process into the software development culture is key to product success. With my years of experience, I come to the table with a variety of tools and ideas for doing that just that. I welcome the challenge of building a team from scratch or reinvigorating an existing team.
